How to transfer backpacking fuel

Step 1

Place receiving canister in the freezer. Place sending canister in the sun.

Step 2

Wait 5 minutes.

Step 3

Thread canisters onto fuel transfer device. Sending canister on top (“OUT”) side, Receiving canister on bottom (“IN”) side. Hand tighten.

Step 4

Open valve to transfer fuel. Once fuel transfer is complete, close valve and detach canisters.
